News release from the Fort Wayne Police Department:
FWPD: Critical Injury Shooting
Date: July 9th, 2015
Time: 6:41 PM
Location: Winter St./Rudisill Blvd.
Victim: Male
On July 9th, 2015 at approximately 6:41 PM Medics with TRAA were flagged down in the area of Winter St/Rudisill Blvd. in regards to a shooting victim. The victim was a male and was in serious condition at the scene. The medics transported the victim to a local hospital where he was downgraded to critical condition.
Multiple witnesses were giving Police varying accounts of what happened. A house on the 4000 block of Lillie St. was pointed out by some witnesses were shots possibly came from hitting the victim. There were bullet holes in the house that was pointed out. There were also accounts of a suspect fleeing in a vehicle from the area.
Police were able to detain two individuals that exited the rear of the house on the 4000 block of Lillie St. They were being questioned by detectives. The Emergency Service Team and the Crisis Response Team were paged out to the scene. Numerous attempts were being made by the Specialty Units to ascertain if there were other occupants in the residence. No confirmation was obtained.
Detectives were in the process of obtaining a search warrant to enter the residence. A search warrant was granted and the residence was cleared. There were no other occupants inside.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutors Office and the Coroner’s Office.

Please help put these men behind bars,that took my son’s life,took my grandkids father. It was senseless. They need to pay for the lives they are taking.
