Allen County Crash Leaves One Critical
(May 19, 2015) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a 3-vehicle crash that occurred at the off ramp from I-469 Northbound to U.S. 24 East this morning. At approximately 11:38 a.m. officers began responding to the area. According to witnesses, a black Kia pulled off of the ramp to go east on U.S. 24 when it was struck by a semi-tractor pulling a double trailer. The Kia then struck another semi tractor-trailer. The driver of the Kia was flown to a local hospital in critical condition. The passenger of the Kia was transported to a local hospital in fair condition. The other drivers involved in the crash were treated and released at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
