House Fire, 1924 Roy Street
(May 11, 2015) – FWFD units responded to a reported house fire at 1924 Roy Street this morning. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire coming from the first floor of the home. An aggressive search was completed in an attempt to locate any persons that may be inside the home while extinguishment of the fire was completed. No people or pets were home at the time of the fire. The scene was placed under control after 16 minutes and no firefighters were injured, although the structure sustained substantial damage to the 1st floor and smoke damage throughout.
The cause of the fire is suspicious in nature and anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 436-STOP or 1-800-237-STOP. Cash rewards up to $1000 are distributed anonymously to the person who offers information leading to an arrest.
