2016 North American SCRABBLE Championship coming to Fort Wayne

Visit Fort Wayne, Grand Wayne Convention Center Book 2016 North American SCRABBLE Championship

(March 11, 2015) – Visit Fort Wayne and the Grand Wayne Convention Center are thrilled to announce that the 2016 North American SCRABBLE Championship will come to Fort Wayne from August 6-10, 2016.

The five-day championship is expected to draw over 500 SCRABBLE players from across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Participants will compete in Fort Wayne for an opportunity to qualify to the 2016 World SCRABBLE Championships.

Visit Fort Wayne and the Grand Wayne Convention Center worked in conjunction to place a competitive bid and hold site visits last summer. Fort Wayne topped Cincinnati and St. Louis to host this prestigious championship.
