… WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM EST /3 PM CST/ THIS AFTERNOON TO NOON EST /11 AM CST/ THURSDAY…

HAZARDOUS WEATHER…

* DANGEROUS WIND CHILL VALUES BETWEEN 10 BELOW ZERO AND 25 BELOW ZERO ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.

IMPACTS…

* PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO THIS EXTREME COLD CAN LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA AND FROST BITE IN 30 MINUTES OR LESS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS…MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES.
