Two additional Blue Star Banners have been placed along West Jefferson Boulevard bringing the total to 36 displayed.

Two additional Blue Star Banners now displayed

Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 14, 2014) – Two additional Blue Star Banners have been placed along West Jefferson Boulevard.

Under Mayor Tom Henry’s leadership, the Blue Star Banner program started in May and recognizes City of Fort Wayne residents and City government employees who are actively deployed. The total number of banners on display is 36.

The two new banners honor:

  • Airman Joshua Emrick, United States Air Force
  • Staff Sergeant Bruce W. Freed, Jr., United States Air Force

Banners will be displayed through early November and then removed for protection from the weather. The banners will be displayed again beginning in April 2015.
