Infant Death Investigation
Date/Time of Incident: 10-14-2014 4:08 pm
Location of Incident: 2700 Washington Center Road
Deceased: Infant Male
On Tuesday October 14,2014 at approximately 4:08 pm, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the Ridgebrook mobile home park located in the 2700 block of Washington Center Road to assist paramedics in reference to an infant that was not breathing. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they located a male infant unresponsive and not breathing. Paramedics performed CPR on the infant before transporting the infant to a local hospital in critical condition. A short time after arriving at the hospital, the infant was pronounced deceased. The exact cause and manner of death will be released by the Allen County Coroners Office.
Investigators on the scene were interviewing occupants inside the residence to obtain more information about the incident. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutors Office, and the Allen County Coroners Office.
