News release from the Arena Dinner Theatre:

The Mousetrap opens the door to mystery!

(September 26, 2014) – Arena Dinner Theatre is playing Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” through October 18th.

The play is the longest running play in the world – showing in England for 62 years.

“Upon initial glance the play appears to be murder mystery but looking a little deeper, I discovered probably the most fascinating and unlikely group of characters ever placed together on the stage,” said Director Reuben Albaugh. The Mousetrap is about Mollie and Giles Ralston as they open Monkswell Manor Guest House on the even of a terrible snow storm. When the guests; which include a female traveler with a curious background, an architect who seems better equiped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange man who claims his car was overturned in a drift, and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone; awake the next day to discover they are snowed in and that the police are ont heir way tensions run high. When the ski traveling sergeant arrives he begins probing into each person’s background and ends up rattling a few skeletons in the process. Leading up to a famous reveal that Christi is known for. I think my favorite thing about these characters is that each one of them has their own secret to protect and for them it is truly life or death!
