News release from the American Red Cross:

American Red Cross partners with Hysterium and Haunted Hotel-13th Floor to scare up blood donations
Halloween Blood Drive Scheduled September 29 through October 4

(September 30, 2014) — The Halloween Blood Drive will take place Monday, September 29 through Saturday, October 4 at the American Red Cross Fort Wayne Donor Center, 1212 E. California Road and the Lutheran Donor Center, 7900 W. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 107 in Fort Wayne. All presenting donors will receive a voucher for one general admission ticket to either Hysterium (Fort Wayne) or the Haunted Hotel – 13th Floor (Huntington) and a candy treat bag. The Halloween Blood Drive is sponsored by Hysterium and Haunted Hotel – 13th Floor.

“This is a unique way to reward our regular donors and a way to attract new donors,” said Vince Robinson, external communications manager for the Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross. “We appreciate the partnership of Hysterium and Haunted Hotel to make this possible.”

“The American Red Cross is a consistent source of help for people in many situations,” said Brett Molitor, owner/operator of Hysterium and the Haunted Hotel-13th Floor. “Our donation of tickets to the people who give the gift of life is our way of thanking them for literally giving their own blood.”

Strong donor turnout is needed to help replenish low blood supplies at the end of summer and boost supplies before the upcoming holiday season. Donors of all blood types are currently needed to donate blood.

The Halloween Blood Drive continues a partnership between the Red Cross and the Haunted Hotel – 13th Floor that started five years ago. The Haunted Hotel-13th Floor, located at 511 North Jefferson Street in Huntington, began as a chapter project of the Huntington Jaycees. Hysterium, located at 4410 Arden Drive in Fort Wayne, is in its first year. It replaces the Haunted Cave which began 15 years ago.
