On July 30, 2014, we sat down with Republican incumbent Kevin Howell who is seeking re-election to his Allen County Council 1st district seat.
The following subjects were covered: his background, why he is running, thoughts on the referendum vote to eliminate the Board of Commissioners and replace them with a single county executive, how county council should then be made up, status of the county’s financial situation, the Sheriff’s budget, top three issues facing the county council, land banking, economic development and passenger rail service.
