Local Talent to Again Perform in the Beer Tent

(August 20, 2014) – The Shindigz National Soccer Festival will once again return to Fort Wayne on Thursday, August 21st through Saturday, August 23rd. Schedules are now available online at www.NationalSoccerFestival.com. Advance discount tickets can now be purchased at Fort Wayne-area Walgreen’s and Connolly’s Do It Best Hardware locations. Tickets can also be purchased on the days of the event at the gate as in years past.

The Shindigz National Soccer Festival is eager to announce a new, long-term partnership with the Fort Wayne Sport Club and is very excited to announce that the entire event, including the 26 team high school tournament, will now take place at the meticulously manicured fields of the Fort Wayne Sport Club campus located at 3102 Ardmore Avenue in Fort Wayne. The Fort Wayne Sport Club was founded in 1927 by an active group of soccer players who immigrated to the area from Germany in the aftermath of World War I. Their immediate goal was ‘the promotion of football (soccer) and German culture’ in the northeast Indiana area. Today, the Fort Wayne Sport Club is the hub of regional soccer activity, with programs for recreational and competitive soccer players from age 4-years to 30-and-over.

Adam Strack will once again be an integral part of the Shindigz National Soccer Festival Beer Tent. Strack is a Fort Wayne native who has played guitar and performed locally for more than 20 years. He covers a variety of music ranging from Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, Bob Marley, the Rolling Stones to Jason Mraz and Phish. Strack‘s unique form of rhythmic acoustic guitar and vocals brings an upbeat, yet relaxing ambiance to attendees of the Festival in the Beer Tent.

There is definitely something for everyone at the Shindigz National Soccer Festival. The Shindigz National Soccer Festival will still continue to feature an exciting Midway full of family friendly activities, delectable festival food and informational soccer clinics. New this year on the Midway, is both Sumo Soccer and Sky Zone Dodge Ball for attendees to encounter. Evans Toyota will also give one lucky attendee the opportunity to win a new Scion at halftime of the Indiana vs. Washington game on Saturday night. Make sure that you are a ‘Part of the New Party’ as you participate in this year’s Shindigz National Soccer Festival.

As always, several top-notch high school and collegiate teams will participate in the Shindigz National Soccer Festival. Thursday, August 21st, will not only feature a unique match pitting local coaches against one another, but also the Michigan State Spartans vs. the University of Washington Huskies competition. Shindigz National Soccer Festival is honoured again, this year, to bring top-ranked college soccer teams, along with highly prestigious high school teams, to Fort Wayne. Due to its great history, Shindigz National Soccer Festival has been recognized nationally as the premier event to attend for pre-season collegiate soccer.
