Assistance Needed in Identifying Suspect

(May 22, 2014) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is looking for your assistance in solving a crime.

 

 

On February 7th & 8th, 2014, a subject, or subjects, went to 3 different PHIL’S ONE STOP convenience store locations in Fort Wayne; and used fraudulent credit cards to make 6 different fraudulent transactions valued at $1,340.00.

The bulk of the purchases were for cartons of Newport and Marlboro cigarettes.

One of the incidents involving a fraudulent credit card occurred on Friday February 7th, 2014 at about 6:10pm. A male subject entered the PHIL’S ONE STOP convenience store located at 1810 W. Coliseum BLVD in Fort Wayne.

The subject purchased 4 cartons of Newport Menthol 100 Cigarettes, a small box of Glad trash bags, and a bottle of Minute Maid Cranberry Apple Raspberry drink. The total came to $248.30.

In the surveillance video from the store, the suspect is a M/ B who looks to be in his late 50’s to early 60’s. He is clean shaven, wearing dark rimmed glasses, a “Rebels” ball cap, and what appears to be a hip length black fur coat. He is also wearing a metallic bracelet or watch on each wrist.
