Arlington hosts sixth annual Fine Arts Day

(May 14, 2014) – Arlington Elementary students will celebrate the importance of the arts at the sixth annual Fine Arts Day on Friday, May 16. From 9:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m., there will be workshops by the Fort Wayne Museum of Art (Gallery on Wheels), Fort Wayne Ballet, Indianapolis author Adam Seif, TRIAAC African drums, TAG Art and several others. Students will rotate through all of these activities with their teachers. This day of fun and creative expression was made possible through a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC). Many state standards will be met in several subject areas, as well as reminding the students how the arts can enrich their lives and their community.
