Motorcycle Accident

Time: 3:55 a.m.
Location: Main Street at Watkins Street
Victim: Adult Male — Critical Condition

Details:

Fort Wayne Police responded to the report of a single vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in the intersection of Main Street and Watkins Street. On arrival officers found an unresponsive adult male down in the middle of the street near his Harley Davidson motorcycle. The male was transported to a local hospital where he was admitted in critical.

Investigators have determined that the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Main Street and for an unknown reason traveled left of center struck a parked van flipped ejecting the male. At this time It is not known if alcohol and or drugs played a role in this accident. Main Street was closed to vehicular traffic between Runnion and Fry streets for approximately 2 ½ hours during the investigation.

This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Coroner’s office.
