Rainy end to the work week
(April 3, 2014) – Rain will continue to fall today and tonight, with a few thunderstorms possible. There is a slight risk for severe storms today, across the southern portion of our area, near central Indiana. However, severe development does not appear likely at this time. Winds will be out of the east today at 10 to 20 mph, before shifting to the southwest and gusting up to 45 mph tomorrow. Showers and thunderstorms will continue into Friday as well, with precipitation chances decreasing in the afternoon. Any lingering rain showers could change over to snow Friday night, with cooler air moving into the region. Little to no snow accumulation is expected. Rainfall totals today through Friday will range from 0.75 inches near Lake Michigan to around 2 inches near central Indiana.
