Explore Nanotechnology at March’s Lunch with a Scientist
(February 28, 2014) – The March 8 session of Lunch with a Scientist will feature a presentation by Abdullah Eroglu, associate professor of electrical engineering at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW).
Eroglu will spotlight the advances of nanotechnology in his presentation, “Great Science in a Tiny World.” Attendees will find out what nanotechnology does and how it works in a hands-on way, using real-life applications.
Lunch with a Scientist is held at Science Central, 1950 N. Clinton, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The program is open to the public at a cost of $16 per person; $10 for Science Central members. Lunch is included.
Lunch with a Scientist is geared towards children between the ages of 8 and 14. Each session features a different scientist from IPFW who engages the audience with an educational hands-on activity, then joins them for lunch after the session. Advance reservations are required.
