Clear Storm Drains to Prevent Street Flooding
(February 12, 2014) – As temperatures begin to warm up, Fort Wayne City Utilities needs residents to help prevent neighborhood street flooding by removing ice blockage at storm drains. When snow melts it needs to be able to flow to a storm drain but can sometimes get blocked by debris and ice dams near storm inlets.
Fort Wayne City Utilities is asking residents to check neighborhood storm drains and clear them so the snow melt can flow out of the street and away from the area.
