Wild Zoo Halloween Continues Thursday-Sunday, plus Halloween Day
Event offers treats, pumpkins, and ‘merry-not-scary’ excitement(October 23, 2013) – The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo’s Wild Zoo Halloween continues Thursday, October 24 – Sunday, October 27 and Halloween Day, October 31. The event is open from 1 – 6 PM daily.
Highlights for this week include:
Thursday, October 24: Mascot Day
Meet local mascots including The Mad Ant, Icynormous, Sparky the Fire Dog, Johnny, Biscuit, Mean Jean, Wally the Skating Dog, Roller Roo, Bill the Lion, and K’Zoo from 2-4 PM on the Australian Adventure Plaza.Friday, October 25: Free Train Rides
Zoo guests can ride the train for free all day. The train ride features the Halloween-themed “Tale of the Twisted Tree” in which riders are invited to find the mythical Twisted Tree in the Franke Park woods.Saturday, October 26: Star Wars Day
Kids can meet Star Wars characters and R2D2 robots on the Australian Adventure Plaza from 2-5 PM.Sunday, October 27: Magic Day
At 2:30 and 3:45 PM on the Australian Adventure Plaza Stage, guests can enjoy amazing magic shows featuring The Great Andini.Thursday, October 31: Pumpkin Decorating Workshop
Children receive a free mini-pumpkin to decorate and take home. All decorating supplies are provided.Regular daily activities include gathering treats, exploring mazes, live animal shows, the Pumpkin Patch, and more.

Admission for the Wild Zoo Halloween is $8 for children and $4 for adults. Zoo Members receive $2 off per person every day. Additional fees are charged for the train ride, pony ride, carnival-style games, bracelet-making, and face painting. Food is available for purchase.
