Serious Injury Motor Vehicle Accident

Date: Friday, August 09, 2013

Time: 2:00 p.m.

Location: 2934 Windrush Drive

Victim: Justine Kramer Female, age 90 – Serious Condition (Stable)

Details: Approximately 2:00 p.m. this afternoon officers responded to a traffic accident with injury occurring in the driveway of 2934 Windrush Drive. On arrival 90-year old Justine Kramer was found down on the driveway of her home suffering from injuries as a result of being struck by her 2000 Buick lucerine.

Ms. Kramer told investigators that as she was preparing to pull out of her garage realized that she had forgotten an item placed her vehicle in neutral exited the vehicle and in doing so left her driver side door open. The vehicle rolled in reverse as Ms. Kramer was standing next to it striking her. She was transported to a local hospital where she was determined to be in serious but stable condition. Due to her age the FACT Team was summoned to document the accident scene.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department’s FACT Team.
