News release from the TinCaps:
TinCaps Announce Roster Moves: July 30th
The Fort Wayne TinCaps, in conjunction with the San Diego Padres, announced the following roster moves today:
Infielder Chris Burke transferred from Fort Wayne to Class-A Advanced Lake Elsinore of the California League. Burke, 23, hit .307 with four home runs and 22 runs RBI in 44 games with Fort Wayne. He returns to Lake Elsinore after having played two games there earlier this season. Burke has played at every full-season affiliate of the Padres this season.
Outfielder Alberth Martinez reinstated from the disabled list. Martinez, 22, had been placed on the disabled list June 28 after being hit in the face by a pitch thrown by Lansing’s Roberto Osuna. In 67 games, Martinez is hitting .270 with a team-lead-tying six home runs and 37 runs batted in.
Fort Wayne’s roster currently stands at the Midwest League limit of 25 players, with three on the disabled list.
