Fatal Shooting Investigation
Incident Date/Time: May 28, 2013 / 11:37 P.M.
Incident Location: 1300 Huron St.
Victim: Adult Male / Deceased
(May 29, 2013) – On Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at approximately 11:37 P.M., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Huron Street on a report of a male shot. Officers arrived and located an adult male lying in a front yard, suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). Officers began CPR on the male until relieved by Fort Wayne Fire Department and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority personnel. Medics transported the male to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Information available at this time indicates the victim exited a home for an unknown reason, and was fire upon once he got outside. It is unknown at this time if the assailant was lying in wait, or what exactly transpired.
There are currently no suspect or vehicle descriptions, and no one is currently in custody. Possible witnesses were transported to the police station for questioning, and other witnesses were interviewed on scene. Detectives and crime scene personnel continue to search the area, identifying and processing evidence and seeking out any other witnesses.
The victim’s identity, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

The incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Officer. There is nothing further at this time.
