Parents, Neighbors Invited to Meetings on Construction at Harrison Hill, Memorial Park

(May 21, 2013) – Fort Wayne Community Schools is inviting parents, neighbors and other concerned community members to two upcoming meetings about school construction projects.

Those interested in learning more about the Memorial Park Middle School project can attend a meeting at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 23, at the school, 2200 Maumee Ave. Those interested in learning more about the Harrison Hill project can attend a meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the school, 355 Cornell Circle. The High Soaring Hawks Night at Harrison Hill will include pizza and ice cream, as well as free childcare.

Those in attendance at the meetings will hear more about the upcoming construction plans for each school and how it will affect the neighborhood. FWCS and its contractors are working diligently to minimize the impact to students, staff and the community. During the meeting, FWCS officials will share what the community can expect starting this summer through the completion of the project. In addition, at Harrison Hill school leaders will share information about academics at the school.
