AFP: Senate Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee Right to Continue Studying Transit Bill
Grassroots Organization Cheers Senators for Stopping Fast-Track of Tax Hike

(April 2, 2013, Indianapolis) – The Indiana Chapter of Americans for Prosperity today praised the State Senate’s Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee for sending the mass transit bill to study committee. This move halts the potential tax hikes included in the bill and gives the Statehouse the opportunity to rework the legislation.

“The Senate Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee did the right thing to slow down and rethink this massive spending project and potential tax hike,” said Chase Downham, Americans for Prosperity – Indiana State Director. “We hope the Statehouse uses the opportunity to decide if the mass transit bill really serves the best interests of all Hoosier taxpayers.”
