Death Investigation

Date/Time of Incident: March 14, 2014 at 7:50 p.m.

Location of Incident: 2200 block of McKee Street

Victim: Adult Male

On March 14, 2013 at 7:50 p.m., officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Abbott Street at McKee Street. Upon arrival, officers located a four door car parked in the 2200 block of McKee Street. This vehicle was on the south side of the road and was facing eastbound. Inside of the car, officers located an adult male victim who appeared to have suffered from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported that a second vehicle pulled up next to the four door car and someone inside of the second vehicle fired multiple shots from the second vehicle into the four door car. There were multiple shell casing located at the scene. The suspect vehicle was last seen westbound on McKee Street. We do not have a vehicle description at this time.

Detectives are currently investigating this case as Homicide. Crime Scene Technicians are processing the scene for physical evidence.

Representatives of the Allen County Coroner’s Office and Allen County Prosecutor’s Office were notified and arrived to investigate. More information is expected after an autopsy is performed.

The name of the victim will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. Also, the exact cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
