URGENT – WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTHERN INDIANA
712 PM EST TUE MAR 5 2013

…HEAVY SNOW TONIGHT…

.A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY WILL
CONTINUE TO CAUSE SNOW ACROSS NORTHERN INDIANA… NORTHWEST
OHIO… AND SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN THIS EVENING… WITH SNOW
ENDING ACROSS THE AREA LATE TONIGHT. SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES
WITH ACCUMULATIONS AROUND AN INCH PER HOUR. STORM TOTAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 8 INCHES ARE EXPECTED IN THE WARNING AREA
WITH 2 TO 5 INCHES IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST

* TIMING…SNOW… HEAVY AT TIMES TONIGHT… WITH THE HEAVIEST
SNOW EXPECTED THROUGH 2 AM. SNOW MAY BE BRIEFLY MIXED WITH
SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN EARLY THIS EVENING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 8 INCHES
ARE EXPECTED BY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL RESULT IN SNOW COVERED
ROADS AND HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
