Arcola to Host “County Night Out” Event Oct. 4

(September 28, 2012) — The second of three “County Night Out” events for the fall will take place in Arcola on Thursday, October 4. The meeting will take place at the Arcola Volunteer Fire Station, 11401 Railroad Street, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Lake Township Trustee’s office and the Arcola Volunteer Fire Department are helping with arrangements.

“County Night Out” will feature an open-house format designed to allow citizens the opportunity to meet the Commissioners and other elected officeholders face-to-face and obtain information about programs and services offered by various County departments. Some of the departments which will be represented at the meeting include the Highway Department, Building Department, Human Resources, Parks Department, Department of Planning Services, Election Board, Solid Waste Management, Purdue Extension Service and the Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health.

The third “County Night Out” event this fall is set for Leo-Cedarville residents on October 16 at the Leo-Cedarville Park Pavilion, 9825 St. Joseph Street. That meeting is being arranged with the assistance of the Leo-Cedarville Town Hall.

All “County Night Out” events start at 6:30 p.m. and end by 8:00 p.m.
