Baseball fans invited to free Parkview skin cancer screening

(July 2, 2012) — Fort Wayne TinCaps ticketholders at the July 11 game at Parkview Field are invited to participate in a free skin cancer screening at the ballpark during the game.

Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center will host the screening, which takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. in the TinCaps conference room, located near the Parkview booth.

Ticketholders should call the cancer center at (260) 266-9180 before July 9 to schedule a five-minute appointment for a free skin inspection.

During the July 11 game, individuals with appointments may visit the conference room at their assigned times to meet with a dermatology professional from Dermatology & Laser Surgery Associates. Exposed skin on arms, lower legs, head and neck will be inspected for potential signs of skin cancer.

Time slots are limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins will be accepted as time permits. Ticketholders age 18 and over are welcome.
