Kohl’s donates $67,953 to Parkview

(November 15, 2011) — Kohl’s Department Stores today announced a gift of $67,953 to Parkview Hospital. The funding will benefit local children through the Kohl’s Healthy Kids program. The program teaches children the benefits of healthy eating and fitness. This year marks the fifth year for the Kohl’s Healthy Kids program in the Fort Wayne area.

Representatives from Parkview and Kohl’s visited Cedar Canyon Elementary School, part of Northwest Allen County Schools, to announce the gift. Students from Cedar Canyon received the newest Kohl’s Healthy Kids newsletter that provides fun health and wellness information for students and parents.

Parkview became one of Kohl’s hospital partners in 2001. Since then, Kohl’s has donated more than $865,000 to Parkview Hospital programs.

Funding from Kohl’s is made possible through the purchase of $5 books and plush toys at area Kohl’s stores.
