Rev. Mitri Raheb is Pastor of Christmas Church and President of Bright Stars of Bethlehem. The ministries of Bright Stars of Bethlehem include: Elementary and Secondary Schools, a state-of-the-art Health and Wellness Center and Clinic, youth leadership training, a professional theater, the Bethlehem branch of the Edward Said Music Conservatory, art studios, and the newly-opened, one-ofits-kind Dar al-Kalima Fine Arts College.

Pastor Mitri is the author of eight books, including I Am a Palestinian Christian, and the award-winning Bethlehem Besieged, which received the Spirituality and Health Award as one of the 50 best spiritual books of 2004. He believes the arts and culture can assist in transforming society, that through the Bright Stars ministries, Palestinians can be “actors, not mere spectators” in creating a lasting civil society, to bring hope and healing to a suffering community. Bright Stars of Bethlehem is built upon Jesus’ words, “I have come that you might have life and have it abundantly” – heart, mind, body, spirit.
