News release from Allen County Councilman Paul Moss:
Allen County Councilman announces exploratory committee for State Representative
Paul Moss files paperwork to explore a run for House District 52
(Huntertown, IN) – Allen County Councilman Paul Moss today filed paperwork with the Indiana State Election Board, forming an exploratory committee, and indicating a potential bid for the Republican nomination for State Representative in District 52.
Moss is in his second term on Allen County Council, the fiscal body for Allen County government, and has been regarded as a conservative watchdog when it comes to County expenditures. “With the recent changes to the boundaries of District 52, I feel uniquely qualified to represent the people of Dekalb County and Allen County at the Statehouse”, Moss said. “This is simply a natural progression in my effort to reduce the tax burden on hard working Hoosiers.”
Moss filed the exploratory committee paperwork in order to further gauge interest in his candidacy as well as raise money in support of a potential bid for State Representative in May 2012. “I am pleasantly surprised by the number of people in Dekalb County and Allen County expressing their support for me to file as a candidate for this seat. I am excited about the opportunity to communicate to the residents of Dekalb County and Allen County my sincere desire to continue my work in reducing the size, scope, and cost of government.”
