TinCaps Day Game Parking
Team encourages fans to “have a plan” when heading downtown for Tuesday’s day game
The Fort Wayne TinCaps are doing their part to make the parking experience for fans attending Tuesday’s 11:05am day game at Parkview Field as hassle-free as possible.
“There is plenty of parking downtown for fans,” stated TinCaps Vice President, Brian Schackow. “Some of the lots fans are most familiar with are not available during day games. Lincoln Financial uses a majority of the spaces normally open to fan parking on nights and weekends. That doesn’t mean there isn’t parking downtown. It just means that fans need to plan accordingly before they leave for the
ballpark.”To help fans locate available lots and garages the TinCaps posted the message below to their website as well as sent the information to ticket holders and groups attending Tuesday’s game.
“The Fort Wayne TinCaps are playing their last mid-week day game of the 2011 season on Tuesday, August 9th at Parkview Field. Please take a few minutes to read below and check out the Parkview Field Parking map at TinCaps.com.
When you make your way downtown make sure you have a plan for where you’d like to park. Parkview Field’s Red and Green lots south of the ballpark will be unavailable due to their use by Lincoln Financial employees. The Parkview Field Silver lot is available only to ticket holders in possession of a Silver lot parking pass. The parking garages nearest to the ballpark will have limited spaces available due to employees and visitors to downtown businesses.
The TinCaps do allow and encourage you to drop off your passengers at the South entrance to Parkview Field (corner of Brackenridge and Ewing) if you have any guests that may not be able to make a longer walk, or simply for your convenience.
Take a few minutes to look at all of the additional parking lots and garages available within a short walk of Parkview Field at TinCaps.com. These lots are easy in and easy out during your visit to downtown Fort Wayne. Having a parking plan before you make your way downtown will lead to a hassle-free experience and help you to enjoy TinCaps baseball at Parkview Field. You can also find a
