Shopping Spree Planned by Organization Devoted to Helping Children with Special Needs
Active 20-30 Club expecting to assist 70 kids during annual event

A group of young adults focused on making a difference by improving the lives of area children will be holding its ninth annual Children’s Shopping Spree on Wednesday, August 3, and Thursday, August 4. The Active 20-30 Club of Fort Wayne will be teaming up with 70 kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters to help them select much needed items and clothing for the upcoming school year. As an added bonus, several players from the Fort Wayne TinCaps are also scheduled to be on hand to help the students get ready for a successful return to the classroom.

Each child will be paired with a club member and given $100 to spend in the store. At the conclusion of the evening, each participant also gets a backpack full of essential and fun school supplies provided by Active 20-30.

Both shopping sprees will take place at Kohl’s. Please note that the participants have already been designated by Big Brothers Big Sisters and the activities are not open to the general public.
