Discover Fort Wayne from a whole new perspective

(July 18, 2011) – ARCH announces that in honor of the William Wells Day festivities on Saturday August 6, 2011, ARCH is providing a selection of fun historic tours that showcase downtown Fort Wayne using three different modes of transportation.

Join us for an easy, guided walk-about tour of some of Fort Wayne’s historic sites and hear some great tales about our city’s past. Tours at 4 PM and 5:30 PM leaving from the Wells Street bridge. Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 5 through 18, and free for children under age 5. No reservations are necessary.

Gather your family and friends for an easy, educational, and fun self-guided bike hike through downtown Fort Wayne. Bike Tour maps will be available at the Wells Street bridge. This is a free event.

See downtown from the waterfront perspective as we tour by pontoon, canoe and kayak. Take in some of Fort Wayne’s finest historic sites while enjoying the meanderings of the three rivers. All tours depart from Fort Wayne Outfitters, 1004 Cass Street. All canoe and kayak skill levels are welcome! Reservations are required, call ARCH at 260-426-5117.

1-hour pontoon tours are scheduled at 5PM and 6:30 PM. Cost is $15 per person/ $10 for ARCH members. Children under 12 accompanying their parents are free.

1-hour canoe and kayak tour begins at 5:30. Cost includes canoe or kayak rental, $20 per person/$15 for ARCH members. Children under 12 accompanying their parents in the same vessel are free.
