Geoff Paddock files campaign report
(April 13, 2011) – Geoff Paddock, a Democratic candidate for Fifth District City Council, submitted his first campaign finance report of the 2011 election season today at the Allen County Election Board. The report covers funds raised between his filing for the position on February 11, and the end of the reporting period, April 8, 2011. Reports are due on April 15 at Noon.
Paddock raised $15,159 in that period from over 100 donors. The report lists all itemized donors of $100 or over who contributed in the past two months. The report also showed that he had spent $2,036.96 and had $13,122.04 cash on hand heading into the May 3 primary election.
“I am very grateful to the over 100 donors who have shown confidence in my campaign by contributing to it. I am working hard and meeting hundreds of voters at their doorstep each week,” Paddock said.
Paddock is scheduled to knock on his 600th door this afternoon, since starting his door to door effort in mid March. He hopes to reach 1,000 doors within the next three weeks.
“I am meeting voters face to face and asking for their support. By May 3, I hope to have walked in each precinct in the Fifth District and met many of the voters who will participate in the Democratic primary,” he said. “I am encouraged by the response I am receiving from voters. I believe in conducting a grass roots effort that concentrates on direct contacts,” Paddock said.
The Democratic candidate will also participate in two upcoming candidate forums. Â He will participate in the West Central Neighborhood Association candidate night on Monday, April 18, and the West Rudisill, Illsley Place, Southwood Park, and West Foster Park Neighborhood Association event on Wednesday, April 27.
