Boundless Playground Fundraiser Rescheduled for March 28th
(March 24, 2011) – Champions Restaurant and Sports Bar is holding a charity event for Taylor’s Dream Boundless Playground on Monday, March 28, 6 – 8 pm. Come out and meet the Mad Ants basketball team while they wait on tables! Bring in your ticket stub from the Mad Ants game on Sunday, March 27th for a complimentary appetizer and to be entered in a drawing for a free night’s stay at the Downtown Courtyard by Marriott. Money for Taylor’s Dream will be raised that night through tips and donations. For more information, call 467-1638.
Taylor’s Dream Boundless Playground initiative began when a young girl, Taylor Reuille, realized that there were children with disabilities who couldn’t play at many playgrounds. A Boundless Playground will allow children with and without disabilities to play together, and will include amenities that address the needs of children with physical, developmental, cognitive and sensory disabilities. The playground’s grand opening is scheduled for June of this year.
