USF showcasing high school art talent

(February 24, 2011) – The University of Saint Francis will host its 35th annual High School Exhibition March 6-27 in the John P. Weatherhead Gallery in the Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center. An opening reception will take place from 1-3 p.m. on March 6, with an awards ceremony at 2 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.

The exhibition showcases the best work by high school students around the region. High schools from Indiana, Michigan and Ohio may submit as many as 10 pieces from each of their students. Merchandise awards and art scholarships are available to eligible students who participate.

Weatherhead Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
