Liz Brown for Mayor Committee files Campaign Finance Report

Press release from Republican Mayoral candidate Liz Brown:

Liz Brown for Mayor Committee Files Campaign Finance Report
Brown Files Campaign Finance Report Disclosing Contributions and Expenditures for December 3, 2010 through December 31, 2010

Today City Councilwoman Liz Brown filed her campaign’s 2010 Annual Report of Receipts and Expenditures for the Liz Brown for Mayor Committee with the Allen County Election Board. Since announcing her campaign for Mayor on December 3, 2010, Brown raised nearly $25,000 and as of December 31, 2010 had $22,900 cash on hand. The 2010 Annual Report of Receipts and Expenditures of a Political Committee discloses contributions and expenditures of the Liz Brown for Mayor Committee from December 3, 2010 through and including December 31, 2010 – less than one month.

“Considering this 2010 annual campaign finance report represents less than one month of fundraising efforts since my December 3, 2010 campaign announcement I am proud of our progress. Since December 31, 2010 my campaign has received additional financial contributions and commitments that put my campaign on pace to reach my fundraising goals for this election. My campaign has been steadily gaining steam as I meet with my constituents, sharing my ideas and plans on how best to transform city government. However, my campaign’s success will not be measured by whether I was the candidate that raised the most money. Rather, my committee and volunteers will measure success by the number of Fort Wayne residents I meet, the number of residents who endorse my campaign message of reducing the size and scope of government and cutting government spending, and the number of voters that vote for me on Election Day; because it doesn’t cost a single dollar to knock on a door and talk with the residents of Fort Wayne.”
