Flyer for Jim Sack's Rudisill Boulevard lecture.

Back on November 14, 2010, Jim Sacks delivered a lecture on the Landscape History of Rudisill Boulevard as sponsored by the Friends of the Parks.

From the flyer for the event:

Rudisill Boulevard has long been one of the grand corridors in Fort Wayne extending from Foster Park at its western terminus to McMillen Park to the east. A part of the historic Park and Boulevard System designed by nationally celebrated city planner and landscape architect George E. Kessler, Fort Wayne residents continue to value the beautiful mansions, residential neighborhoods, tree allée plantings and the bustling commercial district along Rudisill Boulevard.

Jim Sack, resident of Rudisill Boulevard, one of the founders of Germanfest, the German Heritage Society and the Gera-Fort Wayne Sister City relationship, will share his vast knowledge of the landscape history of Rudisill Boulevard, highlighting the contribution of German planning pioneer George E. Kessler.
