Stutzman Hires Chief of Staff

(December 2, 2010) – “I am proud to announce that Tim Harris will be coming on board as my Chief of Staff.” Stutzman stated “It is very important to have a qualified and experienced person in place to run my office operations.” Tim Harris will begin on December 13th to hit the ground running to complete this Congressional year and Session.

Tim became politically active in 1986 while working with the local and state party. He was selected to be the “Deputy Mayor” of Marion, Indiana to run the day to day operations of the Mayor’s office. As Indiana State Representative he served the 31st District for two terms. While serving in the General Assembly he met then State Representative Marlin Stutzman and the two seat mates worked on many issues and legislation. As the Ranking Member of the Small Business and Economic Development Committee, Tim was able to use his experience in the private sector along with public service to improve the Economic Development system.

“I was not looking for a new job,” Harris stated “but this is about helping and working with someone I respect and that has Northeast Indiana at the heart of his decisions.”
