Fort Wayne District Releases September Statistics

(October 21, 2010) – The Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne have released statistics for the month of September 2010. Troopers issued 2116 traffic citations and 3157 traffic warnings. Troopers also arrested 68 drunk drivers and made 108 criminal arrests.

  • 10 Child Restraint Citations
  • 99 Speeding Trucks Over 10,000 Pounds
  • 108 Criminal Arrests
  • 68 Drunk Driving Arrests

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Fort Wayne Post worked 23 new cases and made 20 criminal arrests, 18 of which were felony arrests. There were a total of 112 cases drawn by both troopers and detectives.Master Trooper Gary Shenefield, his K-9 partner Beau, Senior Trooper Brad Shultz, his K-9 partner Gunnar and Trooper Shane Neuenschwander and his K-9 partner Smokey had between them, a total of 23 searches which yielded 18 arrests, assisted other agencies on 11 occasions, seized 95.35 grams of marijuana, 3 grams of meth and $113,600 in cash.

The Indiana State Police Post in Fort Wayne serves the citizens in the following nine northeast Indiana Counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley.
