Aunt Millie’s to donate over 60,000 loaves of bread to Midwestern foodbanks this holiday season

Aunt Millie’s will donate over 60,000 loaves of Butter Top Wheat Bread to foodbanks throughout the Midwest this holiday season. The bread will be delivered fresh directly to the foodbanks, for distribution to those in need in their service areas.

The first donations will be delivered to foodbanks in Louisville and South Bend on Nov. 3. The final donation will be delivered in Cincinnati on Dec. 22. In all, Aunt Millie’s will donate 60,816 loaves of bread – over 1,000 loaves per day. The retail value of the donation is $194,003.04.

Locally, Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana will receive 2,400 loaves on November 22, 2010.

Aunt Millie’s Bakeries is a family-owned company headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana since 1901. The company produces Aunt Millie’s bread and bakery products and other brands, which are distributed throughout the Midwest.
