Press release from Parkview Hospital:
Parkview hosting furniture show for staff
Event is designed for feedback prior to selection of furniture for regional medical center
Parkview Hospital is conducting a furniture show as an opportunity for employees to view more than 75 pieces of furniture that are being considered for the Parkview Regional Medical Center, which will open in 2012.
Staff members are evaluating furniture pieces for comfort, durability, design, and suitability. Feedback received from the show will better enable Parkview leaders to make the best decisions possible for furniture that will be used by patients, staff, physicians, and the public.
“This is a unique opportunity for our team to provide important feedback as we continue our work on the Parkview Regional Medical Center,” said Sue Ehinger, chief operating officer, Parkview Hospital. “We want to make sure we make the right selections that will benefit everyone who works at and visits our campus. Staff engagement has been a focal point in the development of the regional medical center. We have dozens of teams working to ensure that what we are doing makes the patient experience the best it can.”
The furniture show began Tuesday and runs through Thursday. Each department within Parkview has an allotted time to visit the furniture show and provide feedback.
The $536 million Parkview Regional Medical Center construction project remains on schedule and on budget. Construction is expected to be finished in December 2011. The new medical center will open in April 2012.
