There were no interviews posted last Sunday and my apologies for this week’s installment being posted a little late.
This week, however, we have two interviews from unrelated races. Â In both races, the opposing candidates were afforded an opportunity to interview as well. Â It should be noted that all candidates are extremely busy with campaigning. Â In the case of the 2nd District County Council race, an interview had been set up with Mike Conley, but was cancelled by the candidate due to a scheduling conflict. Â Hopefully, that interview will be rescheduled this coming week.
Tom Harris is a Republican running for the Allen County Council 2nd District seat against Democrat Mike Conley. Â This is the seat vacated by Paula Hughes who earlier this year announced she was not seeking re-election to the County Council. Â Last week, she announced her bid for the office of Fort Wayne Mayor in 2011.

The second interview is with politics newbie Democrat Evan Smith who is running for the 84th Indiana House District seat against Republican Bob Morris. Â This seat was vacated by the resignation of Randy Borror.

You’ll want to check back next Sunday for a race that has garnered some attention over the last few weeks at the State level.

Did Bob Morris decline to be interviewed?
Mr. Morris was offered the chance to interview, however, scheduling was a problem. The offer is still open, but I am not actively pursuing the interview with him.
