Press release from Lutheran Health Network:

Dupont Hospital Encourages Family Fun with Music and Movies in the Park

Watching a movie on a giant screen and listening to live music outdoors in a pleasant setting captures the essence of summer like few other experiences. Dupont Hospital again proudly presents Music & Movies in the Park on Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Sport and Fitness Park located on the Dupont Hospital campus.

The lineup and event times include:

  • 4:30 p.m. “The Neverending Story”
  • 6:30 p.m. “Sunny Taylor Band” (acoustic rock from Fort Wayne)
  • 8 p.m. “Night at the Museum”

Families are invited to bring chairs and blankets to get comfortable on the grass soccer field. Picnics are welcomed but not alcoholic beverages, tobacco or pets. Popcorn will be provided courtesy of Leo High School student athletes, while supplies last.

“Music and Movies in the Park is a free family event that allows the community to visit the campus for a relaxing evening,” said Karra Heggen, CNO, Dupont Hospital. “This will be the third year we are encouraging families to enjoy this opportunity together as summer draws to a close. We think it’s important to find a balance between work, school and family, and this is one way Dupont Hospital has been making a difference.”

Dupont Hospital appreciates its sponsors including WMEE 97.3 FM, Fort Wayne Newspapers and 3 Rivers Federal Credit Union.
