Women’s Night of Shoes starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Fort Wayne Country Club on August 11th. This night for women will feature a silent auction, a shoe fashion show, and tasty treats! All of it benefits the Women’s Bureau’s REACT program and Walk A Mile in Her Shoes (more info on Walk A Mile found below!). You can pay at the door or register in advance at www.womensbureau.com. Walk A Mile In Her Shoes® 2010
Join us Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Headwaters Park East in downtown Fort Wayne.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes raises funds and awareness for the REACT program (formerly RAP) of the Women’s Bureau to stop rape and sexual assault.
This year we’ll be trying to set a world record and we need every man – and woman – we can get!
Registration begins at 7 a.m.
Opening ceremony begins at 10 a.m.
AND THIS JUST IN… ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE WALK A MILE ACTIVITIES WILL BE THE “WE Market for WAM”; WE – a.k.a. Women’s Enterprise – program of the Women’s Bureau that helps entrepreneurs realize their dreams. At 7:00a.m. the market opens and many current Women’s Enterprise clients will be selling their wares. It’s a BLOCK PARTY FOR THE WOMEN’S BUREAU AT HEADWATERS ON SEPTEMBER 11!
