Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center to host events
(July 29, 2010) – Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center will host several upcoming events. The programs will be held at the Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center on the Parkview North campus, entrance 4.
Answers from a Cancer Expert Each Friday in August (6, 13, 20, and 27) from 1-3 p.m. in the Cancer Center lobby
Receive easy-to-understand, practical answers to your cancer questions in one-on-one Q&A sessions with Nancy Ehmke, clinical nurse specialist, Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center. Ehmke has been a nurse at Parkview for 27 years. The service is aimed at helping patients and others feel comfortable asking questions in a casual setting.Cancer 101 – What is Cancer? 11 a.m.-noon, Tuesday, Aug. 10, third floor of the Cancer Center Learn what makes cancer cells different from normal cells. Discover how cancer is diagnosed and find out about the many types. A brief overview of treatments is provided. The class will be led by Nancy Ehmke, who presents information in straightforward language, and questions are always welcome.
