Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership to join IEDC in New York City

(June 25, 2010) – Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership (NEIRP) announced today that it will be participating in New York with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s (IEDC) sales trip to promote the region and build relationships. Regional Partnership’s Brandon Talbert will depart on June 28, 2010 to attend meetings with site selection consultants based in New York City.

Numerous meetings on Tuesday, June 29 have been scheduled by the IEDC. The goal of the meetings will be to reinforce established relationships and introduce Indiana to those unfamiliar with the state and Northeast Indiana. In addition, a networking event for the group will be held to meet with additional site selection consultants during the Yankees game Tuesday evening.

“The New York sales trip will provide opportunities to build relationships with consultants in New York who will benefit from the unique talent and resources Northeast Indiana has to offer.” Talbert, Director of Business Recruitment for NEIRP, said. “We continue to find great value in partnering with the IEDC to promote the state and our region.”

This will be the third New York sales trip NEIRP has participated in since it began in 2005 and and the second sales trip this year the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership has joined IEDC for. President and CEO John Sampson will be traveling with Governor Mitch Daniel’s trade mission delegation to Asia in November. Sampson also participated in the 2009 trade missions to China and Japan led by Governor Daniels.
