Shrek the Musical and Navy Pier Trip

There are still seats available for the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation trip to Chicago on July 28!

The motorcoach will head for colorful, fun-filled Navy Pier on Lake Michigan, where guests can ride the carousel or giant Ferris wheel, visit shops galore, explore the Children’s Museum, stroll on the dock or through the hallway of stained glass windows. A limited-menu lunch certificate (included) may be used at a dozen locations in the Food Court. Later, the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre comes to life at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.

Shrek the Musical, based on the Oscar-willing DreamWorks film, features a terrific score of 19 all-new songs, big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery. This popular show is part romance, part twisted fairy tale, and irreverent fun for everyone. Affordable balcony seats are reserved for this family-friendly performance. Continental breakfast is served in route to Chicago. A supper stop (on your own) is made on the way home.

The motorcoach will depart at 8 am from Bob Arnold Park, located at State and Parnell, and will return at 10 pm. Fee: $109 Adults, $99 Ages 8 – 12. Sign up by calling 427-6000, visit the Main Office at 705 East State Blvd., or register on-line at www.fortwayneparks.org by using the code 375008-W1.
