The Historic West Main Street Farmer’s Summer Market starts up this Friday in the same spot as last year.

That spot is the parking lot on the northwest corner of West Main and Davis Streets.  The market will run every Friday, from 3 to 8 pm through October.  An e-mail from organizer Chris Shatto:

Here is some scoop- the market is bigger and better than ever this year.

The Historic West Main Street Farmer’s Market opens on Friday, May 14, 2010 and runs every Friday, 3-8 PM, rain or shine, through October 22.

Located at 1936 West Main Street, The Historic West Main Street Farmer’s Market is Fort Wayne’s largest farm market. Shoppers can expect in 2010 expanded organic and local produce vendors, flowers and perennials, more baked goods and local food items, artwork, live entertainment, hot food and ribs plus a beer garden every week serving locally crafted beers. The market is owned and operated by the Nebraska Neighborhood Association. For more information: Chris Shatto @ (260) 515-9700. facebook: historic west main street farmers market
