SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTHERN INDIANA
345 PM EDT THU APR 8 2010

…FROST AND FREEZE POSSIBLE FRIDAY NIGHT…

MUCH COOLER AND DRIER AIR WILL PUSH INTO THE REGION THROUGH FRIDAY. HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION BY FRIDAY NIGHT WITH CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS FORECAST. THIS WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO FALL INTO THE LOW TO MID 30S AT MOST LOCATIONS…WITH SOME PLACES ACROSS SOUTHERN MICHIGAN…NORTHEAST INDIANA AND NORTHWEST OHIO POSSIBLY SEEING UPPER 20S. UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES OF LATE HAVE ALLOWED FLOWER GROWTH AND EARLY BUDDING OF SOME TREES…INCLUDING SENSITIVE FRUIT TREES. A PERIOD OF SUBFREEZING TEMPERATURES MAY DAMAGE OR STRESS SENSITIVE VEGETATION. PERSONS SHOULD STAY ABREAST TO THE FORECAST AND TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT SENSITIVE VEGETATION IF NECESSARY.
